Cover for PSP remake
Sorry for the late post. This week’s game is Final Fantasy II for NES.
It’s hard to get a copy of FF2 for NES because it never came to North America but there are people who dubbed the japonese game and released the rom on the web. The story focuses on Firion, Maria, and Guy 3 kids from the kingdom of Fynn. One day the kingdom went under siege by the emperor and the kids were forced to flee their home town and were separated from Maria’s older brother Leon. They were knocked out by the dark knights and were taken to Altair where Princess Hilda hides. The kids were then recruited to help the princess regain the kingdom they lost.
Battle Screen
I chose this game because of it’s battle system. FF2 instead of exp you gain stats based on what you do in battle. If you attack often you gain strength, if you use spells you gain spirit, if you guzzle up mana you gain mp etc… The only flaw is if you attack yourself you gain the stats easier so you can have maxed out stats before you meet Minwu. Also used in this is upgraded spells, which was really fun. I like this feature because when your level gets higher it gets a better animation (remakes only), and you don’t have to spend XXXX gil on Firaga. When you just got Fira two levels ago, but you know you need Curaja for your White Mage. But your only one level away from revive and that takes even more gil. When you realize the boss is weak against Thundala THEN YOU HAVE TO FARM MONSTERS WHO ONLY GIVE YOU XX GIL WHEN YOU LEARN THAT AFTER YOU BUY IT THE EQUIPMENT YOU BOUGHT FOR YOUR FIGHTER
IS GIVEN TO YOU IN THE DUNGEON, AND SAID DUNGEON LEVELS YOU SO YOU THEN YOU NEED TO BUY FIRADAHAFADAFADAFADAFADAFA AND THEN YOU REACH CHAOS WHO IS IMMUNE TO EVERY GOD DAMN SPELL!!!! …….. Sorry got carried away.
Anyway this is a great game and I advise you to try it out.
